Suspected Thief Shot In Face After Attempting To Stab Security Guard With Needle

A suspected thief is in critical condition after a Baltimore security officer shot him in the face, authorities say.

Investigation reveals that the victim was shot in the face after trying to stab a security officer with a needle following a robbery around 9 a.m., Friday, Oct. 21 in the 600 block of Exeter Street, according to Baltimore Police.

The victim was observed stealing items from inside of the store and was attempting to leave with the stolen merchandise when the confrontation occurred. 

The victim has been transported to a hospital where he is said to be in critical condition.
